In Ulster in the 1900s, storytelling helped to pass on knowledge of people and places, and played a crucial part in keeping customs alive from generation to generation. Join a member of our team beside a real turf fire in one of our authentic buildings for some cosy, sensory stories in this session designed for young children. Your class will have the opportunity to discuss and express their responses to characters, stories and imaginary situations. In a mix of rhymes, poems and stories (Christmas-themed stories are an option in December) they can have fun creating sound effects, and enjoy handling objects that bring the stories to life.
