Time: 10:00 to 17:00

Saturday 8th - Friday 14th April

Experience a traditional 1900s Easter with us at Ulster Folk Museum. You'll get to know what typical celebrations would have looked like in rural Ulster and how some of these traditions are kept alive to this day!

Learn about the origins of the Easter egg, take part in traditional games and have a go at our themed craft demonstrations. There'll be Easter cards being made in our Print Shop, and our talented makers will also be demonstrating their skills throughout the museum over the week, keeping heritage skills alive.

Plus, on the 9th, 10th and 11th we'll have traditional Easter foods for you to try, and music around the site!

On Easter Monday, we'll have Anann’s Arch with us for a workshop making Spring faeries from natural materials. The whole family can get involved in foraging for materials on the grounds of the museum to make your faeries, then choose somewhere in the museum as their new home or bring them home.

This is usually a busy period at the museum. Parking is available in our main car park and there will also be shuttle buses running throughout the day to bring visitors up from our overflow car parks.

Pop into the Ballycultra Tearooms for a spot of lunch, or bring your own picnic along to enjoy in one of our outdoor picnic areas scattered across the site.
